Biography: Tampa Reed and The Nameless Drifters

This all started when I hitchhiked out of Tampa in 1988 with my old pawn shop guitar, Drifting Namelessly westward. Working at Murphy Bro Carnival in Mid West, I wound up outside Houston, catching a ride to the Kerrville Folk Festival thumbing I 10 outside Houston.. from there I stayed a winter on the streets of Tucson. I rode the freight train to LA then north through the Santa Ana Mts.. got kicked off in Fresno, then in Roseville and walked to Sacramento... hitchhiked to Seattle.. back down to Texas, up to New York.. wound up HERE... I met Steve when I lived in his cellar. I was in a band called Morning Wood with Sneaky Pete then Kryerwede with Rocket Rob.. ,I recorded some 8 tracks of Steves band The 11th Hour... Live at The Black Spot..I met guitarist J Snow driving taxi and we did some recordings with Sneaky Pete and Rocket Rob and formed The Nameless Drifters with Steve, J Snow and I met Chris at Rocket Robs... he did some drum tracks for us and we nailed his set to the floor .Chris has played and recorded with several local bands on both drums and guitar... we united out of our desire to record and perform original music
