With Middle-Eastern roots, and hungry for the harmonious elegance of the West, Mike Massy, Murex d’Or award winner, is noted for his vocal and pianistic distinctiveness, and intuitive talent. He revisits the Lebanese Oriental music, proposing a unique fusion between the passion for Andalusia, baroque harmonies, and jazz rhythms. Songwriter, film score composer, singer, vocal coach, music producer, performer and actor, from the Phoenician town of Anfeh - Lebanon, Mike Massy was born on the 31st of March 1982, and grew up fascinated by the inimitable voice of Feyrouz, the nostalgic melodies of Zaki Nassif, and the poetrynd authenticity of Jacques Brel and Charles Aznavour texts. Despite the unstable situation in Lebanon, he started piano courses at the age of nine. In 1996 he joined the National High Conservatory of Music where hespecialized in Arabic Opera and classical piano. His passion for theatre led him to join the Faculty of Fine Arts where he obtainedis degree in Dramatic art and theatre studies. For over 10 years and simultaneously with his theatre studies, Mike Massy followed Jazz Ballet classes along with body awareness practices, which positioned him as a complete performer on stage. As a multitalented performer, producer, composer, songwriter, pianist, and outstanding singer, Mike Massy has collaborated with the most important artists in the Middle Eastern and worldwide music scene. From Lebanon to Egypt, Syria to Abu Dhabi, Algeria to Morocco, and from the Netherlands to Italy through Belgium, Bulgaria, New York, Washington, Stanford University in California, Germany, France, etc.  Mike Massy has participated in big festivals, performed in prestigious halls and toured with internationally known musicians and artists. His talent as an actor was soon noticed by both filmmakers and directors. That’s how he was offered many roles in TV series, TV films, short films, plays and In addition to his music career, Massy is a voice coach; he also founded Voice Matters, the workshop for human voice discovery. His releases and albums: In 2003 Mike Massy released his first album of spiritual hymns “Anta Houriyati”, which was re-mastered and released digitally in 2016.
