Biography: Jazz Organ Fellow Ship
The Jazz Organ Fellowship is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) membership  organization dedicated to the preservation of Jazz Organ music through live  and recorded presentations, educational seminars and community outreach  programs  Our 2nd Annual 'Organ Extravaganza' is sheduled for Saturday, February  18, 2017 at Cafe Stritch in downtown San Jose.  We will be sponsored by  the San Jose Jazz Winterfest and they have a page on their web site where you can find out more  information about attending our event:  www.sanjosejazz.org/artist/winter-fest-jazz-organ-fellowship   Remember that our 'Organ Extravaganza' is a fund-raising event.  This year will will present organists WIL BLADES, AKIKO TSURUGA & TONY MONACO Other  musicians who will play include Barry Finnerty, Akira Tana, Sylvia Cuenca, Leon Joyce, Jr. and many,  many more...  ​Susan Emerick joins the Jazz Organ Fellowship as our newest Board member!  Welcome Susan and  thank you for helping us increase awareness of Jazz Organ music worldwide!  We are now in the very early stages of planning for our Ninth Annual Jazz Organ Fellowship Tribute  and here's how YOU can help:    Several Jazz Organists have already been 'nominated' by faithful Jazz Organ fans:    Brian Auger (LA),    Amina Claudine Myers (NYC)     Doug Carn (St. Augustine, FL)     Dr. James Polk (Austin, TX)     Billy Nunn (Las Vegas, NV)     Danny Hawkins (Oakland, CA)    and Barbara Dennerlein (Munich, Germany).   We ask that you email us at jazzorganfellowship@gmail.com with your vote.  Let us know if you  would like to see one of these jazz organists receive the JOF Award in 2017 OR if you have a  suggestion of your own.  The JOF Board of Directors will go with the Jazz Organist garnering the  most votes.  We would also like to hear who you would like to have JOF induct into our Jazz Organ Fellowship  Hall of Fame.  Remember these must be Jazz Organists who have passed but left behind their mark in  the music world.  So far, we have the following:      Butch Cornell    Bernie Worrell    and Lady Byron (Evelyn Childress).    Thanks, in advance, for your support!  Remember that your donations are tax deductible and go directly  into the operational costs and educational needs of students who wish to study Jazz Organ … as well  as actually hear the legends of Jazz Organ first hand.
