Biography: Daniel and The Flyin’ Lions: Vibraphone Jazz
next next next next
When a Facebook share peaks the interest of a jazz radio host, it's time to make a recording. At first it's just an idea, and a few days later we're meeting each other for the first time in the studio. No rehearsal. A quick peek at the page right before the little red recording light is on, and an impromptu history is created in mere minutes. Chemistry and collective brain power. That's the story of Daniel & The Flyin' Lions. If you love jazz vibes, you should have heard of Lionel Hampton. A few days later we're hittin' his composition "Flyin' Home" for the first time at a show. Mashup the title and the composer and we might as well be paying tribute to the master. Daniel's compositions energetically spin the listener in circles. You never know what to expect, but the edge of your seat is actually pretty comfortable! Jazz is where "out" is "in." You don't know where the music is taking you, but trust that the band is having fun and wants the audience to come with them! General Manager Aaron Abrahamson Cote
