The Best International Artist
I’m originally from Cuba. We moved to Miami at the age of nine. Started writing music at the age of thirteen. At fourteen I met my mentor who taught me how to structure a song correctly which helped improve my craft. With dedication by sixteen I built a small studio in my bedroom. That led us to get kicked out of our apartment because of the loud noise. By eighteen we moved into a house and invested in better equipment. My music got even louder. Getting kicked out of the apartment motivated me not to give up.
Born and raised in Queens, New York to Dominican Parents. Liza was eight years old when she showed interest in singing, and then her parents realized that she was a talented singer. She became determined to pursue her singing career. By the time Liza was ten, Liza's mother managed her. Liza Sang in local neighborhood restaurants and appeared in Univision "Sabado al medio dia", "Sabado Gigante" and all Hispanic Festivals Univision hosted. Liza sang for Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Charity events and local restaurants. In High School, she had chorus and guitar class and sang on every school concert.
Katie Thompson has been carving her pathway within the country music scene in New Zealand, although her sound transcends the singer- songwriter “format”, bleeding into genres as diverse as rock, pop, folk and more. This talented artist has released two albums and a live EP, has toured New Zealand extensively, was selected to open for Sir Elton John at his New Zealand show November 2011 & was a finalist for Female Artist of the Year at the 2012 NZCMA’s. Through her direct blend of story-telling and incredibly powerful hooks, Katie Thompson’s latest single Leave Your Hat On is a country-rock anthem with attitude!
Imagine what would happen if a metal guitarist and an opera singer got together and started making acoustic music, if they took away all the gloss and effects of modern music and created something authentic and true, if every rendition and original song were built by the heart, from the bottom up.  This is Timberwood.
1.) What sparked your interest in music? Tim: Liberace, (laughing)just kidding, I'll let Joe answer that.  Joe: (not laughing) well, Jake and I are brothers so we were exposed to pretty much the same music growing up. Our mom and dad listened to The Beatles, Stones, Kiss, Kenny Rogers, lol, etc... We ended up getting into The Who, AcDc, blink 182 etc... Our dad listened to such a wide range and we always had music playing at home.
Jordan has been honored with the title of Pittsburgh's Best Pop Artist two years in a row, and has well as over 330K engaged online followers. He has performed not just in Pittsburgh, but in other areas as well such as Miami, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Virginia, and New York. Jordan has shared the stage with well known artists and bands like O'Town, Aaron Carter, Bubba Sparxxx, Roy Jones Jr, and many others.
Thus the journey began, 100s of thousands of miles later hundreds of school performance and countless number of performance for the troops and various festival this group emerged to set a legacy in motion. Taylor Made Jazz dynamic approach and smooth style has made them a hit to every audience they have entertained. Their world travels have taken them to Puerto Rico, Panama, Cuba, Italy, Greece, Spain, Germany, Egypt, Israel, Turkey Jordan, France England and Various African Countries. The
29 years ago Van Taylor had an idea to create a jazz oriented band that could work on various public levels including education. Van Taylor assembled an array of Musicians and World Class Entertainers. The original musical style of The Sign is drawn from rock, blues, pop and folk styles from Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Pretenders, The Divinyls, XTC, Joan Baez, Fleetwood Mac, etc. Constantly transcending, these recycled teenagers use 12 string and 6 string acoustic guitars to present a fresh original sound. Fresh off of being a Top 20 Contestant on FOX’s American Idol, Lovey James continues to shine as one of America’s premier young performers. At a very early age of 6 years old, she was already performing for audiences in her hometown, Portland, OR, and all over the U.S. Now at 18 years old,
San Diego Music Award Nominee Dialog Project formed in 2010 as a Jazz Rock Fusion Band, and has enjoyed a few different personnel and genre changes over the years Prog, Fusion with the final incarnation resulting in the current Jazz Fusion genre. The members of Dialog Project consist of artists with different genre backgrounds including Hip-Hop Soul, Electronica, Bebop Jazz and Jazz/Rock/Fusion.
Shinobi Ninja is a genre-twisting band with an explosive live show from Brooklyn, NY. Formed in 2008 by friends and colleagues, the group’s six diverse characters create a unique sound as they mash-up Pop, Hip-Hop, Metal and Punk. With their music and DIY ethic, they’ve since developed into a national rock act with a grassroots following built from non- stop touring, recording and social networking.
Dan Kennedy’s commitment to Contemporary Instrumental music goes back to the 1980s. Conservatory trained, he got his start playing evenings of improvised piano music at Oberlin’s Cat-in-the-Cream Coffeehouse. Heard on over 250 radio stations, as well as Pandora, Spotify, and Music Choice, his music has been in rotation on Sirius XM Satellite Radio ever since 2009.
The O-Tones, a hot New England Swing & Motown band, appeals to all ages. With lots of soul, they’ll melt your hearts & get your feet dancing. The O-Tones band has been playing for events in New England since 1990 & is a dynamic entity. Over their lifespan, various singers & instrumentalists have lent their talents to the band’s fun & professional Swing, Motown, Blues, & Soul sound. The basic group is 6-piece with three singers, sax, guitar, piano, bass, & drums,
Thom is a well rounded guitarist in Jazz, Rock, Pop. Rick is a seasoned saxophone, flute and clarinet player with a strong background in Jazz, Classical and Pop. Hear Rick & Thom perform the jazz standards by your favorite jazz artist/composer. Gomez & Sadlon is an instrumental jazz duo that performs a wide range of music from easy listening jazz to instrumental rock and pop.
